Demoday Release 08/08/2018

Edengrall Tour   This demo is a simple test for terrain and building collision testing and level design, the terrain has been made using my brother’s biome editor that will allow us to automatically populate empty areas with props and objects depending on the biome, the buildings were made by me in blender, they have simplified collision meshes (ramps instead of stairs and stuff) The city looks ugly right now because we are using placeholder materials/textures, also Adam’s movements are clunky and several animations are missing, we will remake the entire animation controller and get proper animations for the next demoday as well as textures and make new materials for all meshes Windows: http://www.mediafire.com/file/hrh6qvashkvcdk9/07-08-2018.7z/file Linux (not tested yet, we are both dirty windows users) http://www.mediafire.com/file/6mjpy76587ut788/07-08-2018-linux.7z/file If you get stuck or fall off the map press R to respawn

Friday Progress Report 15/12/2017

It has been a long week! The Steam release was finally approved and it is now online! http://store.steampowered.com/app/759800/Everyday_Lite/ It has been a pleasure to finally hear some good feedback, Everyday Life will gain greatly from this, the workload has greatly increased, but it also fills me with motivation. The biggest request on the Steam community has been a tutorial, so im currently writing a guide, im trying to not fill walls of text, but there is a lot to explain, so its being quite challenging, i will probably make a video later based on the written guide, im not sure how long this will take. On the modeling of Adam i got some good progress, i did hit a few obstacles, i had to redo the entire rig because of a problem on the shoulders, but i managed to redo it and rerig all clothes, even had time to add a shirt The clothes are split into different objects so i can mix and match his clothing, all characters will be like this, having different wardrobes and even gifting clothes to each other.   On the programming side my brother has finished the base of the terrain system on his spare time, you can now make the terrain polygon and select, vertices, edges and faces to change their properties, stuff like biomes, if it contains water, if you can build over it, etc…   And our freelancer artist has finished 12 new icons, these were added to the 1.17 version that is already online on Steam I will focusing on making the tutorial and fixing bugs/balancing Everyday Lite during this week, i will still finish Adam model before the end of the month

The fullgame Everyday Life will be made in Unity and will be available in both Windows and Linux. There is no need to install anything, just unzip the file and click the cute Faerie in the game folder and the game will start. Im now working to get the game on Steam, should be there by the end of November, meanwhile im learning how to make the character models for the fullgame. Currently im working on the game all by myself burning my savings on this project, all art is made by me or bought (other than free sound files) and i would like to hire my brother as a fulltime programmer (he is the one doing the grass in the terrain system on his free time), this will more than double up the development of the game since i can focus on stuff i like more like creating content, if you wish to support me you can do so on my Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/laetus You can talk to me on Minds or Gab https://gab.ai/Luisedgm https://www.minds.com/Luisedgm I hope you enjoy my art!

Since Everyday Lite will be the face of Laetus for a long time (before the main releases) i want to work on it a bit more, so during the month of October i will improve it further, adding mod manager, documentation and more UI improvements (if i have extra time i will also add some more fun stuff like headpats) also balance and bugfix, also my artist will be replacing all placeholder images as soon as he can come back to work (he has been hit by a HURRICANE of issues recently) Currently im working on the game all by myself burning my savings on this project, all art is made by me or bought (other than free sound files) and i would like to hire my brother as a fulltime programmer (he is the one doing the grass in the terrain system on his free time), this will more than double up the development of the game since i can focus on stuff i like more like creating content, if you wish to support me you can do so on my Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/laetus You can talk to me on Minds or Gab https://gab.ai/Luisedgm https://www.minds.com/Luisedgm I hope you enjoy my art!
